Our Mission First-In CPR offers high quality CPR/AED training to healthcare professionals and lay rescuers. Our goal is to promote confidence in the rescuer and best possible outcomes for those individuals requiring basic cardiac life support. About Patty Patricia Santarcangelo is a registered nurse with a nursing background in Pediatrics and Clinical Education. As a Nurse Educator, Patricia has developed the knowledge and skills required to teach the adult learner. Patricia has more than fourteen years experience teaching CPR to healthcare providers, emergency responders and lay rescuers. Certified by the American Heart Association as a BLS (Basic Life Support) instructor, Patricia also has experience as an AHA instructor trainer. Our Trainees First-In CPR offers training to not only Healthcare Providers, but anyone who has an interest in learning CPR. Healthcare Provider Training Most who work in healthcare are required to be certified in Basic Life Support. First-In-CPR offers courses for both initial training and for recertification to meet these needs. These healthcare facilities include:
CPR courses designed for those who work in a non-healthcare setting are available. These classes include training in CPR only or instruction in both CPR and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) use. Many workers can benefit from learning these lifesaving skills including but not limited to teachers and day care providers, office personnel and fitness facility workers. First-In-CPR offers classes that will allow you to schedule a class when it is convienent for you. Our small minimum class size of only three (3) people makes it easy to spend a few hours learning important life skills. CPR Facts According to the American Heart Association, almost 80 percent of cardiac arrests happen in private settings such as a home or workplace. A person's chances of survival decrease up to 10 percent for every minute that CPR or Defibrillation is not performed when a victim experiences sudden cardiac arrest. Learning CPR can be the difference between life and death in an emergency situation. |
