Please note that the minimum class size is THREE (3) Students. First-In CPR conducts classes at the facility of your choosing, so please arrange for class space large enough to accomodate your class size.
 
To comply with AHA Standards all students must have the current AHA course textbook. A student who is a healthcare professional and will have access to the textbook at his/her facility or students who already have the current manual for the course they are taking may chose the class that does not include a book. A textbook is always available for use during the class.
 
IMPORTANT NOTES:
Classes involve strenous physical activity and close contact with other class members. Please notify the instructor prior to class if you have physical limitations requiring accommodation.

For the health and safety of others, if you have signs of an illness that is believed to be contagious, please contact us as soon as possible and we will gladly reschedule your CPR class. Please also remember to wear comfortable clothing.

Adult/Pediatric Heartsaver CPR
For Anyone with limited or no medical training who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency in the workplace or other situations and need a credential in CPR.

Class content:
Techniques for adult and child CPR & choking

Optional Content:

  • Techniques for infant CPR & choking
  • Aldult/Child CPR with a mask
  • Infant CPR with a mask

3 Hours; 2 Hours without Infant CPR

BLS (Basic Life Support) For Healthcare Providers

For anyone who needs to know how to perform CPR in a healthcare setting. This course focuses on those who provide healthcare to patients in a variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings.

Class content:

  • Techniques for adult and pediatatric CPR (including two resucer CPR)
  • Relief of foreign body airway obstruction (choking)
  • AED (automated external defribrilator) Training
  • Use of barrier devices
Includes Written Exam

BLS Renewal for Healthcarre Providers

For Healthcare providers who have previously taken the BLS course and have unexpired BLS Certification. (30-day Grace Period Allowed)

Class content:

  • AED (automated external defribrilator) Training
  • Use of barrier devices

BLS Skills

For Healthcare providers who have previously taken a BLS course and wish to complete the course and written exam online prior to skills testing. You must present certificate of completion at time of skills testing. .

Class content:

  • Skills practice session with an AHA BLS Instructor
  • Skills test with an AHA BLS Instructor
